Hypocrisy, Republicans - One and the same
Well, the verdict is in on Hunter Biden, and I’d like to say the right wing is doing cartwheels of joy. Or that they’re actually upset he was convicted of GUN charges, even though they wanted the trial.
But no. Instead they’re off ranting and raving about how it was all some Administration ploy to distract from Whatshisname’s conviction, and a pathetic attempt at showing everyone how evenhanded the Administration is.
So, with this latest foray into the realm of make believe, I have come to one conclusion.
Somehow, someway, and entire political party has descended into madness, stupidity, cupidity, ignorance, hate, bigotry, gullibility, and above all hypocrisy.
It's as if the Republican party decided to stop adulting altogether, and instead, become the most ignorant and boorish buffoons they could possibly imagine. Rather than looking closely at how well the average American was reacting to their policies, they instead decided to focus on courting those who were most likely to fall for their fear tactics.
And somewhere along the way, they simply decided that good governance and policy creation that helps America become a better nation as a whole was simply too hard.
And then the leaders made the ultimate fatal error and saw all the people at Whatshisname's rallies and immediately started salivating at the thought of all those new voters. And so they courted the silly buffoon, and he got elected by some of the smallest majorities in just enough states to swing the EC his way. And they cheered.
And 6 months into his first term they realized what a major mistake they'd made, but it was too late. They were all in on trying to keep those voters. Sadly for them, they never realized that most of those rally goers DIDN'T vote for their boy, but instead were simply there for the show.
They knew he wasn't "real", as much as they knew their beloved WWE (of which Whatshisname is in the WWE HOF) isn't real. But, Demented Donnie was once part of WWE, and so he was their boy for live entertainment.
And most of them it turns out wouldn't vote for him on a bet. And they still won't. If you think that's a form of whistling past the graveyard, just go look at full broadcasts of his current rallies. People are leaving halfway through, he's not drawing the huge crowds his campaign and other suckups claims he is.
And the GOP knows this. And they also know there isn't anything they can do about it. Which is why they're still all in on him. Because they also became the party of "We can do no wrong, therefore to admit it is beyond weakness.". And here we are.
